Since its earliest incarnation in 2005 as IMDB for India, we had a plan on a connecting filmmakers and their audience together in most intimate way. For a brief period of time in 2007, Cinaka existed only as a social platform for its readers to speak their mind, report stories found elsewhere, vote on them or shout at them. In 2008, Cinaka took the final shape as a place to get information on films, filmmaker resources, contribute and bridge the gap between filmmakers and film lovers.
As anyone who has attempted successfully or unsuccessfully to complete a film, goes through a mound of hurdles and who depends on his large number of colleagues to make his dreams a reality. After all this labor or love, the movie flops or worst yet, some abuse everyone on the screen and behind the scene as they walk out of the multiplex.
Cinaka attempts to provide reference information, social interaction and ready access to resources to all film lovers. It will strive to assist filmmakers in getting their films made, provide a laboratory of ideas, and keep the social interaction between all of us Indian film lovers across the globe at a high level.
Cinaka is not a bollywood news and gossip site.
